Origin: Hailing from the river systems of southern India, particularly the Tambraparni River, these barbs thrive in warm, well-oxygenated waters with moderate flow.
Feeding: Arulius Barbs are omnivorous and readily accept a varied diet, including high-quality flake or pellet food supplemented with live or frozen options like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and vegetable matter.
Tank Mates: They are generally peaceful but thrive best in groups of five or more individuals. Compatible tank mates include other peaceful community fish such as danios, rasboras, tetras, and peaceful bottom dwellers like Corydoras catfish.
