Origin:
Native to the slow-moving and shallow waters of West and Central Africa, the Rope Fish thrives in environments rich in vegetation and hiding spots. Their natural habitat spans from river deltas to marshes, where they navigate through dense plant life and detritus.

Feeding:
Rope Fish are carnivorous, requiring a diet rich in meaty foods. They thrive on a varied diet that includes live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, small fish, and earthworms. It’s crucial to ensure that food reaches the bottom of the tank, as Rope Fish are bottom feeders.

Tank Mates:
Suitable for community tanks with the right conditions, Rope Fish do well with larger, peaceful fish that are not small enough to be considered prey. Ideal tank mates include larger tetras, cichlids, and catfish. They are social creatures that enjoy the company of their own kind, so keeping them in groups is recommended when possible.

INSURED UK DELIVERY COST IS FIXED AT £30 FOR ANY NUMBER OF FISH PER ORDER

We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible.
