Overview: The Gold Gourami, a radiant variant of the Three-Spot Gourami, captivates with its shimmering gold hue and graceful demeanor. Sporting elongated bodies and distinctive, reflective scales, these Gouramis add a touch of elegance to any aquarium.

Origin: Originally hailing from Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, they inhabit slow-moving rivers, ponds, and marshes rich in vegetation.

Feeding: Gold Gouramis are omnivorous, relishing a diverse diet. They eagerly consume flake or pellet foods, supplemented with live or frozen treats like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and vegetable matter.

Tank Mates: Known for their peaceful nature, Gold Gouramis thrive in community setups. Ideal tank mates include peaceful fish such as tetras, rasboras, peaceful barbs, and other Gourami species. Avoid aggressive or fin-nipping companions.

Aggression: Typically docile, these Gouramis may display territorial behavior, especially among males. Providing adequate space and ample hiding spots minimizes potential conflicts.

Experience Level: Suitable for aquarists of various skill levels, Gold Gouramis are forgiving of minor fluctuations in water parameters. However, familiarity with basic aquarium care is recommended for their optimal health.

We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible.
