Assorted Synodontis Catfish (Synodontis spp.)

Overview:
Synodontis Catfish are hardy and आकर्षive freshwater fish known for their unique patterns, whisker-like barbels, and active bottom-dwelling behaviour. Often called “Upside-Down Catfish,” some species display the fascinating habit of swimming inverted. Assorted varieties offer a mix of colours and patterns, making them a great addition to community or species tanks.

Origin:
Native to freshwater rivers and lakes across Africa, particularly within the Congo Basin and Nile systems.

Feeding:
Omnivorous scavengers. Feed on sinking pellets, wafers, frozen foods (such as bloodworms and brine shrimp), and occasional vegetable matter. Best fed in the evening when most active.

Tank Mates:
Compatible with a wide range of peaceful to semi-aggressive fish. Ideal tank mates include tetras, barbs, cichlids (non-aggressive species), and other similarly sized community fish. Avoid very small fish that may be seen as food.

Aggression:
Generally peaceful but can be territorial with their own kind if space is limited. Best kept singly or in groups with adequate hiding spaces.

Experience Level:
Beginner to intermediate. Hardy and adaptable, though benefits from a well-maintained aquarium and stable conditions.

Additional Notes:
Provide plenty of hiding spots such as caves, driftwood, and rocks. Most species are nocturnal and will become more active during low light conditions.

Courier Service Level Agreement

Our courier collects livestock from us on the evening before your selected delivery date. Delivery is made the following day before 1:00pm, with livestock maintained in the same condition and temperature as at collection.

Tracking details will be sent directly by our courier (DX) on the evening of collection. You will also receive a text message around 9:00am on the day of delivery with your estimated delivery time slot.
