The Bullseye Snapping Shrimp, scientifically known as Alpheus soror, is a small but fascinating crustacean native to the Indo-Pacific region. This shrimp is characterized by its distinctive white body with a prominent black “bullseye” marking on its carapace.The Bullseye Snapping Shrimp is an omnivorous scavenger, feeding on a variety of small invertebrates and detritus in its natural habitat. In the aquarium, it can be fed a balanced diet of high-quality shrimp pellets, frozen foods, and occasional live prey.This shrimp is generally peaceful and can be kept with a variety of other peaceful tank mates, such as small fish, snails, and other invertebrates. However, it may become aggressive towards its own kind, and it is recommended to keep only one Bullseye Snapping Shrimp per aquarium.Keeping the Bullseye Snapping Shrimp is suitable for hobbyists with some experience in aquarium maintenance. It requires stable water parameters, including a pH between 8.0 and 8.4, a temperature range of 72-82°F, and moderate water movement. Regular water changes and a well-established biological filtration system are essential for its long-term health and well-being.

We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible.
