Cichlasoma Maculicauda Vieja Black Belt Cichlid 5cm

Welcome to our aquatic haven, where the mesmerizing Cichlasoma Maculicauda Vieja, also known as the Black Belt Cichlid, takes center stage. Originating from the clear waters of Central America, this captivating species boasts a distinctive black band that earned it the name “Black Belt.”

Feeding these remarkable cichlids is a delight, as they eagerly indulge in a diverse diet that includes high-quality pellets, flakes, and live or frozen treats like brine shrimp and bloodworms. Ensure their nutrition is well-rounded to enhance their vibrant colors and overall health.

In the community tank, the Black Belt Cichlid showcases its social nature. However, when selecting tank mates, exercise caution, opting for species of similar size and temperament to avoid conflicts. These cichlids are known for their assertiveness, especially during breeding periods, so providing ample hiding spots is recommended.

Novice and experienced aquarists alike can find joy in caring for the Black Belt Cichlid. While they are hardy and adaptable, maintaining a stable environment is crucial. Keep the water parameters within the range of 72-82°F (22-28°C), with a pH of 6.5-8.0.

Witness the beauty and charisma of the Cichlasoma Maculicauda Vieja unfold in your aquarium, a living masterpiece that brings a touch of the wild into your aquatic sanctuary.
