Venezuelan Orange Corydoras Aeneus 3cm Catfish

Overview: The Corydoras Aeneus Venezuelan Orange is a captivating and vibrant variety of the popular Corydoras species. Known for its striking orange coloration, this peaceful and bottom-dwelling fish adds a touch of brilliance to any freshwater aquarium. Typically growing up to 2.5 inches in length, they are perfect for community tanks. These fish are not only admired for their beauty but also for their role in keeping the substrate clean by scavenging for food.

Origin: Originating from the soft, acidic waters of Venezuela, the Corydoras Aeneus Venezuelan Orange is well-adapted to a variety of aquarium settings. It thrives in environments that mimic its natural habitat, with plenty of hiding spaces and a soft, sandy substrate.

Feeding: This species is omnivorous and not particularly fussy about food. They readily accept a wide range of foods, including high-quality sinking pellets, flakes, and frozen or live foods like brine shrimp and bloodworms. It’s important to ensure that food reaches the bottom of the tank for these bottom feeders.

Tank Mates: Ideal tank mates include other peaceful fish that prefer similar water conditions. Good companions are small to medium-sized tetras, rasboras, and other corydoras species. Avoid keeping them with large or aggressive fish that may bully or harm these gentle creatures.

Aggression: Corydoras Aeneus Venezuelan Orange is known for its peaceful and sociable nature. They exhibit no aggression towards other tank mates and are best kept in small groups, where they display more interesting and natural behaviors.

Experience Level: This fish is suitable for aquarists of all experience levels. They are hardy and relatively easy to care for, making them an excellent choice for beginners, while their unique coloration and social behaviors are appreciated by experienced hobbyists.
