Overview:
The Freshwater Red Ruby Hybrid Albino Stingray, scientifically known as Potamotrygon Jabuti, is a breathtaking addition to any aquarium. With its stunning red and albino coloring, this exotic species brings a splash of vibrant life to the aquatic world. Characterized by its unique patterns and graceful movements, the Red Ruby Hybrid Albino Stingray is a true masterpiece of nature.

Origin:
Native to the freshwater basins of South America, this rare hybrid species thrives in river environments. The Potamotrygon Jabuti is a result of careful breeding, combining the striking appearance of albino rays with the vivid hues of the Red Ruby Stingray.

Feeding:
These stingrays prefer a diet rich in meaty foods, including bloodworms, shrimp, and small pieces of fish. It is essential to ensure a varied diet to maintain their health and color vibrancy. Feed them once or twice daily, in amounts they can consume within a few minutes to prevent overfeeding.

Tank Mates:
Suitable tank mates for the Red Ruby Hybrid Albino Stingray include peaceful, large fish that inhabit different water layers. Avoid small, aggressive, or fin-nipping species. Ideal companions are large characins, peaceful cichlids, and catfish that respect the stingray’s space.

Aggression:
This species is generally peaceful but can become territorial. It is crucial to provide ample bottom space and hiding spots to minimize stress and aggression. Their peaceful nature makes them excellent for community tanks with the right tank mates.

Experience Level:
Due to their specific care requirements and sensitivity to water conditions, the Red Ruby Hybrid Albino Stingray is recommended for intermediate to advanced aquarists. Proper knowledge and experience in maintaining stable water parameters and a stress-free environment are essential for their wellbeing.

Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 76°F to 80°F (24°C to 27°C)
  • pH: 6.5 to 7.5
  • Hardness: 5 to 15 dGH
  • Water cleanliness is crucial; use a powerful filtration system and perform regular water changes to maintain optimal conditions.

In conclusion, the Freshwater Red Ruby Hybrid Albino Stingray is a mesmerizing addition for the experienced aquarist looking to add a touch of elegance and exotic beauty to their aquarium. With proper care, this species will thrive and become a cherished centerpiece of your aquatic collection.
