Origin: Originally from Europe and parts of Asia, the Golden Orfe is a temperate fish found in rivers and lakes. It’s well-adapted to cooler water temperatures and has been introduced to various regions worldwide for sport fishing and ornamental purposes.

Feeding: Golden Orfes are omnivores with a preference for high-protein diets. They readily accept a variety of foods, including commercially available pellets, flakes, live and frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp. It’s essential to provide a balanced diet to maintain their health and vibrant coloration.

Tank Mates: Being a peaceful and social fish, Golden Orfes do well with other non-aggressive, similarly sized pond fish. Suitable companions include koi, larger goldfish varieties, and other temperate pond dwellers. They are schooling fish and thrive when kept in groups.

We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible.
