Origin: Native to the soft, acidic waters of South America’s Amazon River Basin, the L15 thrives in environments that mimic these conditions. Its natural habitat is characterized by a strong current, and it is often found clinging to rocks and submerged wood.

Feeding: While primarily an algae eater, the L15 Candy Stripe Pleco should be offered a varied diet for optimal health. This includes high-quality sinking pellets, blanched vegetables (such as zucchini and cucumber), and occasional servings of live or frozen foods like bloodworms. Ensure food reaches the bottom of the tank to accommodate their bottom-feeding nature.

Tank Mates: This pleco is peaceful and can be housed with a wide variety of tank mates. Ideal companions include small to medium-sized tetras, rasboras, and dwarf cichlids. Avoid overly aggressive species that may bully or outcompete the L15 for food.

We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible.
