Originating from South America, these slender catfish are known for their elongated, twig-like bodies and peaceful demeanor. Their diet primarily consists of algae, so they make fantastic natural cleaners for your tank.

To thrive, provide a well-maintained tank with plenty of hiding spots among driftwood and plants. They prefer a peaceful environment and do well with tank mates of similar temperament, such as small tetras, peaceful dwarf cichlids, or other non-aggressive bottom dwellers.

With a low level of aggression and a moderate care level, these catfish are suitable for intermediate aquarists. Keeping water parameters stable, such as a pH of 6.5-7.5 and temperatures between 72-78°F (22-26°C), is key to their well-being.

STANDARD UK DELIVERY COST IS FIXED AT £20 FOR ANY NUMBER OF FISH PER ORDER INSURED UK DELIVERY COST IS FIXED AT £30 FOR ANY NUMBER OF FISH PER ORDER We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Wednesday and Thursday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible. Please ensure you have read and understood our DOA policy prior to purchase.
