“Neolamprologus Caudopunctatus, originating from Lake Tanganyika in Africa, captivates with its striking appearance and intriguing behavior. These cichlids boast a sleek, elongated body adorned with distinct dark spots, showcasing their natural beauty.
In their natural habitat, these cichlids feed on small invertebrates and plankton. In captivity, they thrive on a varied diet consisting of high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp or bloodworms.
With their moderate temperament, they do best in a community setting with other Tanganyikan cichlids or similarly sized fish. However, they can display territorial behavior, especially during breeding periods. Providing ample hiding spots and territories within the tank helps minimize conflicts.
Ideal for intermediate aquarists, Neolamprologus Caudopunctatus requires a well-established aquarium with stable water parameters. They prefer hard, alkaline water with a pH of around 7.8-9.0 and a temperature range of 75-80°F (24-27°C).

We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible.
