Neolamprologus Ventralis Tanganyikan African Cichlids 3cm

Overview: The Neolamprologus Ventralis, native to Lake Tanganyika, boasts vibrant colors and distinct markings. Its active demeanor and striking appearance make it a captivating addition to any aquarium.

Origin: Hailing from the rocky shores of Lake Tanganyika in East Africa, these cichlids thrive in rocky habitats with plenty of crevices for shelter.

Feeding: Their diet consists of high-quality flake or pellet food supplemented with live or frozen fare like brine shrimp or bloodworms. They also relish in occasional vegetable matter.

Tank Mates: Best suited for a Tanganyikan biotope setup, they coexist well with other similarly sized Tanganyikan cichlids, such as Julidochromis and Altolamprologus species. Ensure adequate territory space to minimize aggression.

Aggression: Moderate aggression levels are typical, especially when defending territory or during breeding. Provide plenty of hiding spots to mitigate potential conflicts.

Experience Level: Intermediate to experienced aquarists will appreciate their care needs. Knowledge of cichlid behavior and tank management is beneficial for their optimal well-being.

Water Parameters: Maintain water conditions with a pH range of 7.8-9.0 and temperatures between 75-80°F (24-27°C). Adequate filtration and regular water changes are crucial for their health.
