Penguin Tetra Thayeria Boehlkei 2cm

The Penguin Tetra, scientifically known as Thayeria Boehlkei, is a stunning species prized for its striking appearance and peaceful demeanor. Originating from the freshwater streams and rivers of South America, particularly Brazil and Colombia, these tetras thrive in densely vegetated waters.

Feeding: These omnivorous fish eagerly accept a varied diet. They relish high-quality flake foods, pellets, and live or frozen treats like bloodworms and brine shrimp. Supplement their diet with occasional vegetable matter for optimal health.

Tank Mates: Peaceful and sociable, Penguin Tetras fare best in schools of six or more. They coexist harmoniously with other peaceful species like other tetras (such as Neon Tetras or Rummy Nose Tetras), Corydoras catfish, and small peaceful bottom dwellers like small loaches.

Aggression: Known for their non-aggressive nature, Penguin Tetras are excellent community tank members. They seldom exhibit aggression towards other fish and are a fantastic addition to community setups.

Experience Level: Ideal for aquarists of all skill levels, including beginners, these tetras are relatively easy to care for. Their hardiness and adaptability make them an excellent choice for both new and seasoned hobbyists.

Water Parameters: Maintain a well-filtered aquarium with stable water conditions. Penguin Tetras prefer slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH range of 6.5 to 7.5. Keep the temperature between 72°F to 78°F (22°C to 26°C) and ensure regular water changes to preserve water
