Origin: Native to South America, specifically found in the Rio Orinoco and Rio Meta river basins in Colombia and Venezuela.

Feeding: These tetras are omnivores and readily accept a varied diet. They thrive on a diet consisting of high-quality flake foods, supplemented with live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia.
