True Banana Wrasse Thalassoma Lutescens

The True Banana Wrasse (Thalassoma lutescens) is a vibrant and iconic wrasse species for marine aquariums. Originating from the Indo-Pacific region, this wrasse can grow up to 12 inches in length when fully mature. Both male and female Banana Wrasses exhibit bright orange markings on their heads, faces, and fins. The Banana Wrasse is an active and bold fish that is known to hunt and forage for small invertebrates, worms, and crustaceans in the aquarium. They are considered moderately aggressive and should be introduced to an established tank after other inhabitants are already acclimated. It is recommended to house the Banana Wrasse with other medium to large-sized, semi-aggressive fish species. For optimal care, the Banana Wrasse requires a minimum aquarium size of 100 gallons with a deep substrate layer and plenty of live rock for hiding spots. Water parameters should be maintained at a temperature of 72-82°F, pH of 8.1-8.4, and specific gravity of 1.020-1.025. This wrasse is suitable for intermediate to advanced marine aquarists with some prior experience in keeping similar species

We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible.
