Twin Spot Goby Signigobius Biocellatus
The Two Spot Goby, also known as the Twinspot Goby or Signal Goby, is a small, peaceful marine fish that originates from the Indo-Pacific region. It has a white body splattered with orange markings, and its distinctive dorsal fins feature eyespots. The Two Spot Goby is considered a difficult fish to care for and is recommended for experienced aquarium hobbyists. This fish requires a minimum tank size of 10 gallons with a sandy substrate and a populated refugium. It is generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially towards its own kind, unless they are a mated pair. The Two Spot Goby is a carnivore and should be fed a varied diet of live or frozen brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, black worms, and other prepared carnivore foods. The ideal water parameters for the Two Spot Goby include a specific gravity of 1.020-1.025, temperature of 72-78°F, alkalinity of 8-12 dKH, and a pH of 8.1-8.4. With the proper care and environment, this fish can thrive in a reef-compatible aquarium and may even spawn successfully.
