The Yellow Coris Wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus) is a vibrant and captivating addition to a saltwater aquarium. Originating from the Indo-Pacific region, this wrasse features a bright yellow body and is a popular choice among marine hobbyists.As a peaceful and reef-compatible species, the Yellow Coris Wrasse is an excellent option for aquariums of at least 50 gallons. It requires a well-established tank with ample live rock, crevices, and a 2-3 inch deep sandy substrate to burrow in. This wrasse is an omnivore, feeding on small crustaceans, benthic invertebrates, and a variety of prepared marine foods. It can help control nuisance pests like planaria, fireworms, and pyramidellid snails, but may also occasionally consume desirable invertebrates.The Yellow Coris Wrasse is generally compatible with other peaceful wrasses and small, non-aggressive fish. However, it should not be kept with overly aggressive species that may outcompete it for food. This fish is suitable for both beginner and experienced marine aquarium hobbyists, provided the proper water parameters are maintained, including a temperature of 72-78°F, pH of 8.1-8.4, and a specific gravity of 1.020-1.025.

We operate a UK wide next day delivery service available through DX overnight, a DEFRA registered courier. All our fish are packed in double thickness bags for safety and filled with pure oxygen. The bags are then wrapped in a foil blanket with heat packs to keep them warm. They are then packed in a large polystyrene box with a cardboard outer. All our fish are booked with the courier as “live fish” and travel in security cages throughout their journey. All fish are only in the box for a maximum of 18 hours which is our service level agreement with the courier. Your delivery date will be communicated to you via email within 24 hours of purchase and your tracking information will be sent to you directly via email by DX the evening before your scheduled delivery date. Please contact us if you would like to change your delivery date to a more convenient time. Deliveries are made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. We will always try our very best to get your order to you as quickly and as safely as possible.
