Description

Yellow Phantom Tetra Hyphessobrycon Roseus 2cm

“Originating from the freshwater streams of South America, the Black Phantom Tetra (Hyphessobrycon megalopterus) is a captivating species known for its striking appearance. With its deep black body contrasted by a distinct translucent tail, this tetra adds a touch of elegance to any aquarium.

Feeding on small insects and plants in the wild, they readily accept high-quality flake or pellet foods in captivity, thriving on a varied diet that includes live or frozen fare like bloodworms and brine shrimp.

These tetras are peaceful by nature, best suited for community tanks with other non-aggressive species like other tetras, rasboras, or peaceful bottom-dwellers like Corydoras catfish. Their schooling behavior shines in groups of six or more, providing a sense of security.

With minimal aggression and a tolerance for a wide range of water conditions, Black Phantom Tetras are suitable for hobbyists of varying experience levels. They prefer slightly acidic to neutral water (pH 6.0-7.5) with temperatures around 72-78°F (22-26°C) and a well-filtered tank with plenty of vegetation and hiding spots.”
