The Process
With energy costs spiraling, the number of requests we are receiving daily to take in fish at the re-homing centre is spiraling also, therefore we have put together this process to help all of the UK. Do you have any livestock that you would like to re home at our rescue centre? Our location in Sussex is out of reach for most of the UK by road therefore you can now deliver any unwanted livestock directly to us with the use of our courier DX. We will help you and manage the entire process. Simply purchase the size and quantity of shipping kits you require and we will send these to you for delivery the next day. You can then advise us of your preferred collection date and DX will pick up the box with your livestock from your home address and deliver them to the rescue centre. Within the box that we send you will be bags, elastic bands, foil blanket, live fish labels and heat packs, everything you will need to pack your fish safely for their journey to the rescue centre. The price for one shipping kit includes the delivery of the shipping kit to you, the collection from your home address by the courier on your specified day and the delivery to us. The collection of livestock can be made from you on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week and the courier will attend with the printed label to attach to your box so no IT or printing skills are required.

SIMS TROPICAL FISH REHOMING CENTRE
At Sims Tropical Fish we will rehome any unwanted, overgrown, deformed, damaged, mistreated or aggressive fish, turtle or amphibian of any species and of any size. We work with a number of charities and the welfare of the fish is at the heart of everything we do.
Our huge distribution centre, with ponds and tanks can offer your fish a home for life should you have a problem, run out of space or your circumstances change. We will also make every effort to find each species a new home for life through our portfolio of experts and public aquaria throughout Europe. Sims Tropical Dry Goods has been created to drive all profits into the conservation of all aquatic animals rescued in the UK.
Our priority is always the welfare of the fish. Should this be of interest to you, please contact us where we can talk you through the process of bringing your fish down to us or us arranging collection with you. We are also very happy to take in or collect any unwanted equipment or tanks that can help support us with maintaining our rescue centre.

A LONG TERM PLAN
At Sims Tropical Fish we never want to be in a position to ever say no to re homing a fish for either the UK charities that rely on us or the general public. This year we have taken in thousands of fish and managed to re home a large number of these. Some fish will stay with us for life and we need to add a number of new ponds and aquariums to our existing facility which is a significant cost to our operation. We depend on a number of volunteers and students to support us with our rescue fish although the equipment required, business rates and particularly electricity are not free. We need the help of our customers and passionate aquarist's nationwide to help us deliver this long term strategy for the welfare of an animal when they need it most.
