Origin:
Originating from Japan, the Showa variety is one of the classic koi lines, celebrated for its strong color contrast and elegant patterning. This Grade A butterfly specimen has been selectively bred for superior color intensity, pattern balance, and refined finnage.
Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality, color-enhancing koi pellets as a staple, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.
Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.
