Found throughout the Indo-Pacific, particularly around the waters of Hawaii and other Pacific islands, the Vanderbilt’s Chromis inhabits reef slopes and lagoons, typically swimming in schools above coral formations.

An easy-to-feed omnivore, Vanderbilt’s Chromis thrives on a varied diet. Provide high-quality marine flakes or pellets, along with frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and finely chopped seafood for best coloration and vitality.
Tank Mates:
Peaceful and community-friendly, this chromis does well with a wide range of reef-safe species. Ideal companions include clownfish, gobies, blennies, tangs, and wrasses. It’s best kept in small groups to encourage natural schooling behavior and reduce stress.
